Industrial · I-65 Corridor

Louisville Riverport — ~30 min
Cedar Grove Business Park — ~20 min
Ford Energy / Glendale — ~45 min
Elizabethtown — ~35 min
We're closer to your perimeter than the Louisville crews. We're more responsive to Louisville than the Elizabethtown crews. That's the wedge.
In December 2025, Ford and SK On dissolved their BlueOval SK joint venture. Ford took full ownership of the Glendale, Kentucky battery plant and rebranded the operation as Ford Energy. The plant is being repurposed to manufacture stationary battery energy storage systems — the kind of large-scale batteries data centers, utilities, and industrial sites use to manage power load. Ford has announced roughly $2 billion in additional investment and plans to hire about 2,100 workers, with production targeted to restart in late 2027. That means facility build-out, contractor activity, and supplier expansion are all happening across Hardin County right now.
Beyond Ford Energy, the I-65 corridor between Louisville and Elizabethtown is one of the most active industrial-development zones in the region. Distribution centers are expanding around the Louisville Riverport. Cedar Grove Business Park continues to fill. Kentucky is in the middle of a multi-billion-dollar data-center build-out — much of it driving the same demand for stationary battery storage that Ford Energy is positioning to supply. All of this means more perimeters to secure, more gates to operate, more temporary fencing for active sites,.
S&S Fencing is headquartered in Cox's Creek, almost exactly halfway between Louisville and Glendale on I-65. We can have a crew on site in either direction faster than most Louisville-based competitors and with deeper coverage than most Elizabethtown-based ones. We're family-owned, woman-owned, family-owned, and on call 24/7. That combination — geography, responsiveness, and capability across all three of agricultural, commercial, and industrial — is rare in this market.
Galvanized chain link sized for the threat profile. Concrete-set posts, bottom rail or tension wire, hardware engineered for industrial loads.
Wide-opening cantilever gates for distribution yards. Slide gates for tight footprints. Heavy-duty swing gates with operators rated for commercial vehicle cycles.
UL 325 compliant operators with keypads, card readers, intercoms, loop detectors, and emergency override. Integration with existing facility access systems.
358 prison mesh, welded steel panels, three-strand barbed wire and concertina razor ribbon, concrete-filled steel bollards — for the perimeters that need to actually stop something.
Panel rental for active build-out sites. Delivery, install, relocation as the site evolves, takedown when you close out. Privacy screening available.
Aging chain link, expansions, and complete rebuilds — we scope the whole perimeter and replace it on the schedule your operation can live with.
