Track vs. Wheel — How We Choose the Machine

Track machines spread their weight over a larger footprint, so they stay on top of soft, wet pasture instead of sinking, and they hold on steep grades where tires would spin. That's why Kentucky pasture work usually means tracks. Wheel machines are quicker on hard surfaces, gentler on pavement and gravel drives, and fit into tighter spots around barns and buildings. Many jobs use both — tracks for the wet back field, wheels for the work around the farmstead. We choose based on your ground, not on what happens to be on the trailer.

What We Look at on a Site Walk

Every job starts with a free on-site walk. We're looking at brush density and what's growing on the line, stumps and root balls that need pulling, slope and drainage along the proposed run, where trucks and machines can get in and out, any old fence that needs demo and hauling, and where material and debris will stage. You get an honest quote that covers the whole scope — no surprise line items once the machine is on your property.
